Tobias Steinhoff

Scientist

WP2 | GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel

Tobias has more than 20 years of experience in ocean observations. His focus is the marine carbon and oxygen cycle. He specialises in surface ocean observations from various platforms, reaching from autonomous platforms like wavegliders to commercial cargo ships. In recent years, he has also worked with pH measurements on Argo floats and how they can be used to estimate surface ocean pCO2. For TRICUSO he will focus on improving membrane based pCO2 sensors going on racing yachts.
