The Ocean Race 2027

The Ocean Race 2027 will start from its home port of Alicante, Spain, in January 2027 and take the foiling, flying, high-tech IMOCA fleet out of the Mediterranean Sea, down the Atlantic and into the Southern Ocean before rounding Cape Horn and returning to Europe via the Americas. Learn more

Sailing for Science at The Ocean Race Europe

Kiel, Germany – home to our partner GEOMAR – hosted the start of the highly anticipated Ocean Race Europe after a four year hiatus from its inaugural event in 2021. Before the race started on the 10th of August, festivities were afoot from the 6th of August at the Ocean Live Park which offered ocean literacy activities for learners of all ages, and events that convened science, policy, sailing and industry together under the theme: Connecting Europe for a Smart Ocean.
